Tony has over 9 years' experience in the civil construction industry and was a member of the Delta Major Projects Team. Tony oversaw a number of projects in the Queenstown area, including the $1.9M Jacks Point Pump Station project and the Millbrook 3B development before moving to Cromwell to take up the position of Contracts Manager. Tony brings a wealth of knowledge to any project and his time as a project engineer has set him up well to lead the team in Cromwell.
Andrew has over 5 years experience in the civil construction industry. He previously worked as Network Safety Engineer for Stantech New Zealand Ltd where he was the TMC for the Southland Noc Contract. Andrew has been leading the Invercargill team since October 2018. Andrew has an in-depth knowledge of the local industry and is able to programme his teams and prioritise projects to meet the clients requirements.

Mike has over 10 years’ experience across a variety of civil projects both overseas, Christchurch and Queenstown. He brings valuable knowledge and experience in open trenching along with works in high groundwater tables and rock.
Mike is a skilled Manager of onsite work crews, including subcontractors, and is very familiar at coordinating works across multiple sites. Mike is skilled in site and programme planning, and has the adaptability to deal with design changes and other variations.

Born and raised in the Wakatipu basin, Tony has lived in the district most of his working life. Wilson Contractors was established more than 10 years ago alongside his father Murray , (since retired from this business), largely to service the local farming community.
In 2002 they employed their first 3 staff. Today we employ over 120 with offices in Queenstown, Cromwell & Invercargill.
By 2003 with several successful projects completed including the Michael Hill Golf Course, and with Queensberry and Bendigo subdivisions in progress, Wilson Contractors became a Limited Liability Company. At that time we saw a rapid growth due, in part, to the development of the Queenstown and Central Otago region’s but also because Tony had gained the reputation of delivering an honest day’s work that was of a very high standard whilst still offering excellent value – he has developed strong business relationships with our clients which continues today. His local knowledge and business contacts are pivotal to Wilson Contractors and are of great benefit to any project. Tony’s ability to think outside of the box and open approach has seen Wilson Contractors go from strength to strength. Tony is constantly developing innovative work methods that result in an enhanced performance. He has invested time to develop these ideas and construct the plant that is needed. Tony is a hands on Director who will always strive to complete every project to the highest standards of quality.
